Introduction

I advise clients on making wills and planning the disposal of their estates to ensure their cherished aims are achieved and taxes payable on death are mitigated. I advise high net worth clients, those with business interests and where an inheritance may need to be managed or protected.

Recent work

  • The clients were the principal shareholders of a family business with four children. Only one of whom was involved in the running of the business
  • My client was an elderly gentleman whose only grandchildren both suffer significant disabilities. His will was drawn so that provision for his grandchildren will be held in trust so that their eligibility for means tested benefits won't be lost
  • The clients were a young couple with two small children. They had their own business and I advised on the most tax efficient way to pass on the business via a will. I also set up trusts to ring fence an inheritance for the children if one of them died, remarried or experienced financial problems

How I make a difference

I take the time to ask my clients what is important to them and who should inherit their estates. Clients have commented on my thoroughness and how I always explain issues clearly and make them fully aware of any important issues.
