Jeremy joined SAS Daniels LLP in September 2009 as partner and departmental manager of our Corporate department. He qualified as a solicitor in 1983 having obtained a law degree from Cambridge University and then completing his LPC at Chester Law College in 1980.
Jeremy has specialised in corporate transactional work for more than 25 years. Recognised by the Legal 500 as a leading individual in corporate and commercial law in the North West, the bulk of his experience has been for owner-managed businesses, and he has significant experience in banking and finance, the care sector and the not-for-profit sector where his clients have included organisations such as housing associations, charities and local authorities.
Jeremy is married with two children and lives in Sale. He has always had a keen interest in sport both socially and in a work capacity having acted on the acquisition of various professional football clubs.

Tim, a partner in our Commercial Property team based at our Macclesfield office at SAS Daniels LLP, was educated at The Ryleys, Alderley Edge, Dean Close School Cheltenham and Manchester University, qualifying as a solicitor in 1972. Tim joined the firm in 1988 and is a highly experienced property lawyer and is currently Chairman of the Macclesfield Chamber of Commerce.
His interests include watching all sports – particularly Macclesfield Town FC – and playing golf. He also likes to spend time with his family which now includes two grandsons and spending time in The Cotswolds.

Kaye Whitby, a partner in the firm, has a legal career which spans fifteen years. She initially qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and having completed the Legal Practice Course at the Chester College of Law was admitted as a solicitor in 2005. Kaye, who works in our Chester office, specialises in corporate and commercial law and enjoys working with owner managed businesses with a particular focus on providing specifically tailored solutions.
Kaye is married and in her spare time likes to travel and read Literature and history.
Lorna Bennett

Lorna joined the firm in 2006 having completed her training in 2002 and became a partner in 2010. Based in Stockport she specialises in commercial law. Lorna has considerable experience in advising mainly owner managed businesses on a range of commercial issues, including the acquisition and disposal of businesses, preparation of standard terms and conditions and preparation of partnership agreements.
Lorna is married with two young children and in her free time enjoys swimming, reading and socialising.

Gareth Brewerton is an associate in our Corporate department who specialises in all aspects of corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, flotations, fundraisings, joint ventures, partnerships and LLPs and re-organisations. He has a particular interest in the healthcare sector and the not-for-profit sector where his clients have included organisations such as housing associations, charities and local authorities.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2005 having obtained a degree in law from Lancaster University. Gareth currently lives in Sale and has always had a keen interest in sport participating in skiing, rock climbing, walking and squash.
