Richard Smith qualified in 1977 and joined the firm in 1980, becoming a partner in 1983. Richard, a member of the Stockport Incorporated Law Society, holds a Diploma of Credit in Commercial Litigation. An experienced commercial litigation practitioner based in Stockport, his range of work includes all types of commercial contract claims, claims for debts and their enforcement, insolvency work, professional negligence and indemnity, disputes in relation to property, landlord and tenant and probate and estates.

When he is not involved pursuing his clients’ interests Richard enjoys watching sport, particularly cricket, rugby and football, listening to both classical and jazz music, travel, books and enjoys good food and wine.

Helen trained as a solicitor in Cumbria and qualified in 1994. In 1997 Helen joined the Commercial team at the firm’s Macclesfield office specialising in commercial litigation and employment law. She became a partner at the firm in June 2004 and is departmental manager of the Dispute Resolution department. Helen who is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, has made a significant contribution to the development of the department.

Helen is a keen runner and also enjoys swimming, cooking and travelling.

Sarah-Jane Dunhill was educated at Wilmslow Preparatory School and Casterton School, a boarding school in the Lake District. She read Law at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and obtained her LPC from The College of Law at Chester before joining SAS Daniels LLP in 2006 as a trainee. Sarah-Jane qualified into our experienced Dispute Resolution Team in September 2008.

Outside of work, Sarah-Jane loves music, television, cooking and motorsport.
