Shelley Hesford qualified in 1991 and joined the firm in 1993, becoming a partner in 1998. Based in Macclesfield, Shelley specialises in all aspects of family law including divorce, high value money cases and contact and residence disputes. She also represents children in care proceedings. She is a member of the Children Panel, the Advanced Family Law Panel, Resolution, Child Concern and is a Deputy District Judge. She obtained a Masters Degree in Child Law in 2003.
She enjoys travelling, hiking, scuba diving and good food and wine.

Shelley Chesworth qualified in 1991 and became a partner at the firm in 1996. Based in Bramhall, Shelley is experienced in all areas of matrimonial and family law particularly specialising in complex financial cases and representing children in Public Law matters. She is a member of the Law Society Childrens Panel, Advanced member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution and Child Concern. Shelley’s experience in advocacy and strong negotiating skills combine to ensure excellent outcomes for her clients.
In her spare time she enjoys watching her two sons in their various sporting activities and also enjoys finer food and wine.
Liz Bottrill

Liz Bottrill qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and joined the firm in March 1995. She became a partner in the Family Law department in 1998 and is based in the firms Chester office. Liz is able to give advice in relation to all issues linked to family breakdown both for the married and unmarried family and has considerable experience in heavy weight litigation both in relation to litigation and finances. Liz is regularly asked by the local media to comment upon topical family law issues.
Liz enjoys keeping fit by cycling, running and swimming.

Martin qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and joined the firm in February 2001. He was made a partner in 2006 and is currently the Family Law departmental manager, based at our Congleton office. Martin specialises in all aspects of family law, including divorce and financial settlement, cohabitation disputes, separation and private law Children Act applications including residence and contact.
When not hard at work Martin enjoys cycling, photography and music.
