Nicola qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and based in Macclesfield is the Manager of our Personal Injury Department. She is a senior associate of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Nicola, who became a Partner in June 2004, specialises in a whole range of injury related claims including those arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and clinical negligence. Her special interest areas cover accidents involving horses and accidents on construction sites.

Nicola spends the majority of her spare time with her horse enjoying equestrian sport especially Dressage and One Day Events.

Andrew Dowd qualified in 1991 and became a Partner in 1998. Andrew, based in our Stockport office, is an expert in all aspects of personal injury and specialises in complex and high value cases. He is the firm’s specialist in injuries of upmost severity such as brain and spinal cord injury and also undertakes clinical negligence cases. Andrew is a Member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Personal Injury Panel, Member of the Association of the Personal Injury Lawyers and Member of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society.

Andrew is a keen Sale Sharks and Manchester City supporter. He also enjoys horse racing, cinema, eating out and holidays abroad.

Nighat joined the firm in 2001 to add strength to the expanding Personal Injury Claims Team. As a paralegal Nighat specialises in all types of Personal Injury claims. She is rapidly building a reputation as a successful and tenacious litigator.

Nighat enjoys spending her spare time with her family, travelling, eating out and shopping.
