Justine is a Partner and manager of our Probate Department. She began her training contract with the firm in September 2000 and on qualifying in September 2002 joined the Probate Department. Based in Macclesfield, Justine specialises in Wills and estate planning, Administration of Estates and older client issues including Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and matters relating to long term care funding. Justine, a recognised solicitor by the Legal 500, is an active member of the national organisation, Solicitors for the Elderly and is also a member of STEP and the Probate Section.
In her spare time Justine enjoys going to the gym.

Lawrence qualified in 1987 and joined the firm in 1990. Lawrence is a partner in the Probate department. He specialises in older client work including long term care issues, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work (he is a Court of Protection Panel Receiver) and Estate administration. Lawrence is a member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly) STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Board of Trustees of Age Concern Cheshire and East Cheshire, Law Society Probate Section, LPLD (Lawyers for Persons with Learning Difficulty) and IFP (Institute of Financial Planning).

Diana qualified in 1978 after undertaking training with a City Centre firm obtaining wide experience in non contentious work. Her business experience includes running a law firm’s branch office between 1980 and 1984. Diana joined the firm in 1995 and her specialist areas are older client matters, estate administrations, wills and estate planning. She is based at our Bramhall office and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Probate Section.

Karen qualified in 1985 having completed her training with the firm. She has gained a depth of experience in non contentious work and now, based at our Stockport office, specialises in the areas of Estate Administration and Wills involving Inheritance Tax Planning. She aims to explain legal and technical points in a language client’s can understand.
She is married with 2 sports mad sons. Her interests include history, travel, watching sport, keep fit and skiing.

Pauline Platt qualified in 1975 and practised in Macclesfield for 6 years before joining the firm in 2007. Pauline has many years experience in Wills, Estate Administration, Court of Protection, Trusts, conveyancing and general property matters and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and will soon become a member of STEP.

Helen is a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and is the acting manager of the Probate Department during Justine’s maternity leave . She joined the firm in 2004 and previously worked in law firms in Bristol for 15 years. Based primarily in our Macclesfield and Congleton offices, Helen specialises in estate administration work and has particular expertise in dealing with estates comprising assets abroad or where UK assets are to be administered where a person had died domiciled abroad. Helen is a member of the Law Society Probate Section and a student member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners.
In her spare time Helen enjoys running and climbing and has taken part in several half marathon races and a triathlon raising money for local charities

J. Bik-ki Wong studied at the University of Liverpool and went on to the Chester branch of the College of Law where she elected to study Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning. She qualified in January 2006 when she joined our Probate team.
Bik-Ki speaks fluent Cantonese and enjoys playing the piano having achieved her grade 8 level pianoforte of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She also enjoys travelling, eating out and most of all shopping.

Kerry Jones is a legal executive in our Probate department dealing with non complex estate administrations. Kerry became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in July 2007 and gives advice and preparation of Powers of Attorney documentation.

Sarah has worked for the firm since 2004 following completion of her education at the University of Birmingham and the College of Law. Sarah joined the Probate department following her training period and she now continues to develop her expertise in trusts and estates.

Dennis Carter is a Trust and Tax Executive in our Probate Department with vast experience and knowledge of personal tax affairs. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers having qualified in his role in 1970. Dennis specialises in handling Trusts, Discretionary Settlements and Personal Tax Cases.
Outside of work Dennis spends his spare time with the Romiley Operatic Society and enjoys photography and gardening and going to the theatre. He is also a Hon. Vice President and Hon. Treasurer of Manchester Statistical Society.

Having obtained a degree in English Literature at Manchester University and spending 5 years working for an environmental conservation charity, Genevieve then decided to join the legal profession. She studied the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester and subsequently took short term placements with several North West firms before beginning her training contract with sas daniels LLP in September 2007. Genevieve qualified into our Probate department in May 2009, where she specialises in Administration of Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and long term care funding issues.
In her spare time, Genevieve enjoys walking, running, cycling, tennis, food, and foreign travel. She has an Elementary Pilot’s Certificate in hanggliding and is a keen practitioner of astanga yoga.”
